Hundreds of thousands of tsunami survivors in the Aceh province of Indonesia still need aid, according to UN World Food Program officials.
The UN has completed an extensive one-month assessment in the region and has concluded that about 800,000 survivors are still unable to feed themselves and will need to be provided food for several more months.
The UN is focusing on people who have the greatest need for aid.
“We're working very hard…to target the people who are really in need of food,” said Inigo Alvarez, a UN spokesman.
