The death toll for the Java tsunami has reached 525, with an additional 383 injured and 273 reported as missing.
The Pangandaran beach area appears to have suffered the most deaths, with 38 bodies recovered.
"We are mobilizing all our national and provincial resources to the area to handle the injured," said Dino Djalal, a spokesman for Indonesia 's president.
Rescue teams continue to search for survivors.
